When We Called

Howdy, folks!

Well, it has been a busy year! I'm still struggling to recover fully from the failed disc fusion surgery last year that left me with persistent numbness and tingling in my hands and feet. "Glove and stocking" paresthesia, they call it. I call it a major impediment to my former fingerpicking skills and try to carry on! ;)

And carry on we did! I carried on all over Kentucky and took several road trips to Iowa, Nebraska, Virginia, and Massachusetts, as well as a pit stop in the Keys, so it's hard to complain when you're doing what you love for those you love...

Ballad of the Green Beret 

Playing and singing The Ballad of the Green Beret in front of Gold Star families and hundreds of fellow Special Forces soldiers and their loved ones was the most memorable musical moment of my life! De Oppresso Liber! 

You Are My Sunshine 

Duet with Tanika McFarlin with Adam Williamson on harp/keyboards at the Brickhouse in Prestonsburg KY on 29 Dec! As wet as it has been around here lately, all we can do is sing about sunshine... ;)

I'm fielding an All-Star band for the Special Forces Association's annual convention which is held this year in Charleston, West By God! In addition to stalwarts from the KY Opry, Adam Williamson (keyboard/harps) and Matt "Mando Man" Scofield, Morehead is providing the rest of the firepower. Glenn Ginn on guitar with his lovely wife Lisa singing the national anthem and torching hearts, while Casie Glover on bass and Nick Johnson on drums keep us all street legal, kinda… ;)
